I had just finished sending an email to my family about my nephew and the next steps for him. Looking at all the responses and reflecting on all the support that my sisters and family has done for him is incredible. My huge family gets very chaotic, frustrated, dramatic, and disempowering in the past. Well we still are at times that's why we are scattered across California and the rest of the country. This is best for us. We are able to have our own lives, but able to come together to support each other.
The biggest test of our strength and love was and is my nephew. We came together as a family and made a decision over email and conference calls mind you (ha!). Each of us pulled together what we can to make the situation work even for some of my sisters who have little but give a lot. There is power in unconditional love.
